Termite Monitoring and Baiting Stations
Innovation that solves your tousest challenges
A termite baiting system offers you an environmentally responsible alternative for termite management.
A termite bait system is designed to eliminate termite colonies in a safe and non-invasive way. We use either an insect growth regulator (IGR) or termidor as the active constituent in our baiting system. Active termites feed on the highly attractive bait food, transferring the chemical to other members of the colony, at levels undetectable by those termites, until the colony collapses.
What is a Rekon termite monitoring station?
REKON is a termite bait system designed to attract and eliminate termite colonies in a safe non-invasive way. It can use either an insect growth regulator (IGR), Chlorfluazuron, or Termidor/Termidor dust as the active constituent in a Rekon termite bait station.
Why we recommend the Rekon monitoring program?
Rekon termite traps with their secondary lid are the most advanced low profile termite trap on the market and ideal for those non-garden areas around the perimeter of your house, lawns, paths, stones, helping you complete your termite monitoring and baiting system.
How does it work?
Active termites feed on the highly attractive bait food source and translocate the non-repellent chemical to other members of the colony, at levels undetectable by those termites, until the colony collapses.
Rekon in-ground stations are deployed around the perimeter of your home. Termite attractive timber inserts are placed inside these external stations which will pick up any current termite activity. The stations are monitored on a regular basis. Should activity be found in the station, a baiting program is put into place.
What is so good about the Rekon monitoring program?
It is an innovative and proven approach to termite control.
Designed in Australia for Australian conditions.
It is a cost effective solution that is less invasive or disruptive as a treatment process compared to more traditional chemical methods.
It is a visible method and the process is transparent, allowing for a cooperative approach to termite control with your pest manager.
Greatly reduces the risk to non-target insect or animal species, by targeting termite colonies.
In high risk areas, baiting systems are recommended to be used in conjunction with chemical treatment methods.
Can be used either as a localised treatment to a specific area of your property, or as a full installation to the perimeter.
